Southeast Nonwovens Composites EMI nonwovens support pathway to conductive performance

As electronics become increasingly integrated into aerospace, automotive, energy and industrial platforms, electromagnetic interference (EMI) has emerged as a critical engineering challenge.
Specialty nonwoven manufacturer Southeast Nonwovens Composites (SENW Composites, Clover, S.C., U.S.) has developed aluminum-coated glass fiber and aluminum-coated basalt fiber nonwovens to address this growing need.

SENW Introduces Oxidized PAN Fire Protection Fabric

Oxidized PAN does not melt, soften, shrink or drip under elevated temperatures, allowing it to retain structural integrity during fire exposure. According to SENW, the fiber begins to thermally degrade at approximately 500°C and maintains dimensional stability and oxidation resistance at that threshold.
The material is intended for applications — including aerospace interiors, electric vehicles, battery systems, defense platforms and infrastructure — where fire safety and thermal performance are design priorities.

Southeast Nonwovens veils enhance modern composite structures

Ultra-lightweight, isotropic layer, available in a variety of fibers and matrices, improves surface quality, enhances interlaminar strength and enables high-performance composites without adding significant weight.

SENW Composites, Clover, S.C., U.S. continues to expand the functional possibilities of composite laminates with its portfolio of lightweight nonwoven veils ranging from 6-50 gsm.
